Bio
Dr. Fisher joined IU School of Medicine in July 2017 as medical director of breast surgical oncology and associate professor of surgery. Prior to coming to IU, Dr. Fisher served as an assistant professor of surgery at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and as an instumental comonent to the surgical staff at Philadelphia VA Medical Center. While in Pennsylvania, Dr. Fisher held several leadership positions, including associate clerkship director for the medical student surgery rotation, and fellowship director for the breast fellowship program. She was a part of the Clinical Competency Committee, which was designed to help evaluate residents in regard to ACGME milestones, and sat on the Clinical Trials Review Committee for the cancer center. In addition, Dr. Fisher has authored over 20 publications.

Dr. Fisher has published widely in areas of translational research of breast cancer, surgical education and outcomes research.
Dr. Fisher is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon with an interest in all aspects of breast care including preventative counseling and prophylactic procedures.
